Duszniki-Zdrój — a multi-faceted health resort
Duszniki-Zdrój is a small picturesque town located on the land of Kłodzko, right on the Polish-Czech border. It is appreciated, among other things, because of the sources of medicinal waters present in it, which contributed to its development as a health resort. These, in combination with the specific climate similar to the Alpine, make tourists happy to visit Duszniki-Zdrój to this day, while the Spa Park or the Mineral Water Pump Room are a showcase of the city.

Zdrojowy Park — the green heart of the spa part of Dusznik
The history of hydrotherapy in Duszniki dates back to the 18th century, but it was only in the 19th century that treatment was started on a wider scale. It is from this period that most buildings associated with the spa character of the city come from. Many of them work to this day.
One of the biggest attractions is undoubtedly the Zdrojowy Park. Angina in themselves are quite rich in green areas, however, it is this one that attracts the most attention. Decorated on 5.4 hectares, it is distinguished by exceptionally rich vegetation, which consists of both native and imported species. There you can admire, among others, huge linden trees and beech trees, of which as many as 6 have been recognized as natural monuments — the largest ones are up to 760 cm in circumference!
On the other hand, flower carpets and beds are decorated next to the lawns, which begin to sparkle with many colors in spring. The Zdrojowy Park in Dusznika-Zdrój also has a phenological garden. Divided into 4 parts — consistent with the seasons — it allows observing cyclically changing nature.
What can you see in the Spa Park in Duszniki?
If you want to see the most characteristic monuments in Dusznika-Zdrój, Zdrojowy Park must be included in your list of places to visit. In its area and in the immediate surroundings there are, among others:
In the spa part of the city, there is probably no more characteristic building than the Mineral Water Pump Room. Duszniki-Zdrój, which are known for a fairly large number of medicinal sources, give you the opportunity to taste water from such shots as Chopin's Pieniawa, Jan Kazimierz or Zdrój Zimny. In turn, on the territory of the park there is also another, already accessible source — Agata. The water obtained from it is naturally carbonated and rich, among other things, in sodium and magnesium.
Decorating Duszniki-Zdrój, the pump room dates from the beginning of the 19th century and with its style vividly refers to this era. Its building has been maintained in a classicist style. In addition to water intakes, there is also a walking hall and a concert shell.
Another attraction offered by the Zdrojowy Park and Duszniki is the spa theatre built in the 19th century, also called Chopin's Manor House. This name is not accidental — in 1826, Fryderyk Chopin himself gave concerts there, who at the age of 16 was one of the curators of the spa. Currently, this building hosts the annual International Chopin Festival in Duszniki Zdrój. Park Zdrojowy resounds with beautiful classical music for a few days in August. The Zdrojowy Theatre also hosts other events that attract tourists and people living in Duszniki-Zdrój. Thermal and mineral waters are not the only attraction to discover there!
Zdrojowy Park is not only a theater and a water pump room. Duszniki-Zdrój can also boast a fountain, which organizes multi-coloured light shows at certain hours during the day and in the evenings. Their background is the music of Fryderyk Chopin, which further strengthens the impressions of this amazing performance.
